Welcome to Anchorage Montessori
Anchorage Montessori School (AMS) was founded in 1977 and began its affiliation with the American Montessori Society in 1978. AMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation governed by an 11 member Board of Directors. The Board Members are elected by the teachers and staff of the school who meet the membership eligibility requirements according to the AMS Bylaws. Administrative responsibility rests with the Executive Director and adherence with Montessori philosophy is monitored by the Education Director.
